This Privacy Policy explains how HKlife101.com ("we", "us", "the Website") handles information when you browse the site, use the calculators, or create an account to post in the community forum.

Calculators. The figures you enter into a calculator (age, income, premiums, etc.) stay in your browser and are never sent to us — unless you click "Share scenario" or "Download PDF", in which case the inputs and results are stored so the link can be reopened later. Shared scenarios are not linked to your identity or account.

Forum accounts. Signing up to post in the forum requires an email address and password, handled by our authentication provider (Supabase). Your posts are shown under an auto-generated handle — your email address is never displayed publicly.

Local storage. Your browser stores your language preference (English/繁中) and, if signed in, your authentication session, using browser local storage. See our Cookies Policy for details.

Server logs. Like most websites, our hosting and backend infrastructure may automatically log standard technical information (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and reliability purposes.

Guide summary emails. If you submit your name and email at the end of the 7-Step Guide, we use them only to email you a copy of your answers and, only if you tick the separate opt-in box, occasional monthly updates. This is voluntary and collected with your explicit consent at the point of collection — see the notice shown on that form for details. You can ask us to delete this data at any time (contact details below); every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link.

We use the information above only to operate the Website: authenticating forum accounts, displaying your posts, and reopening shared calculator scenarios. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties, and we do not run advertising or analytics trackers on this site.

We use Supabase as our backend and authentication provider; your account credentials and posts are processed and stored on Supabase's infrastructure under their own security and privacy practices. A shared calculator scenario is publicly accessible to anyone who has the link, by design — don't share a link to a scenario you'd rather keep private.

We retain forum account data for as long as your account is active, and shared calculator scenarios until removed. To request deletion of your account or a shared scenario, contact us using the details below.
